This policy explains what information Cucci Coffee ("we", "us") collects when you use the website at cucci.coffee or the Cucci Coffee Android app, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We do not ask you to create an account or submit personal information to browse the site. The following may be collected automatically:

Log data: IP address, browser type, device info, referring URL, and timestamps — standard server-side request logs.
Cookies and similar tech: used by third-party services (see below) to remember preferences and measure performance.
Email address: only if you voluntarily subscribe to our newsletter or send us a message.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

Google AdSense (website) — serves ads. Google and its partners use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at google.com/settings/ads.
Google AdMob (Android app) — serves banner and interstitial ads inside the mobile app. AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, approximate location (derived from IP), device model, OS version, and crash diagnostics. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
Google Analytics 4 — measures aggregate traffic and page performance. Uses cookies to collect pseudonymous usage data (pages viewed, session duration, device type, approximate location). You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Google Maps / Places API — powers the cafe map and listing data.
Cloudflare — CDN and hosting. Collects request logs for security and performance.
Ko-fi — optional support/tipping widget. Loads on every page.

Android app

The Cucci Coffee Android app loads cucci.coffee in a native WebView. Behaviour specific to the app:

Ads: a banner always appears at the bottom of the screen, and a full-screen interstitial appears occasionally while browsing cafes. Both are served by Google AdMob — see the section above.
Location: only requested when you tap the Near Me button. Your location is used once to find nearby cafes and is never stored on our servers. You can decline the permission prompt and every other feature will still work.
No account required. The app does not collect your name, email, phone number, or any personal identifiers.
Permissions requested: Internet (to load the site and serve ads), and Location (only when you explicitly tap Near Me).
EU / UK users: before any personalised ads load, the app shows a consent prompt via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). You can consent, decline (ads will still show but without personalisation), or close the prompt. Outside the EU/UK, the consent prompt does not appear.

Cookies

Cucci Coffee does not set first-party tracking cookies. Third-party services listed above may set their own cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings — some features (like ads and embedded maps) may not work correctly without them.

How we use information

To operate, maintain, and improve the site and the Android app.
To serve relevant advertising (via Google AdSense on the website and Google AdMob in the app).
To find nearby cafes when you tap Near Me in the app.
To respond to emails you send us.
To send newsletter emails, if you subscribed.

We do not sell your personal information.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. To exercise these rights, email hello@cucci.coffee.

Children's privacy

Cucci Coffee is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
